Some eighteen people have tested positive for the coronavirus today from 4,732 samples conducted in the last 24 hours.

The country’s Covid-19 positivity rate is now 0.4 per cent with 323, 255 confirmed cases and 3,461,926 tests conducted since the onset of the disease.

Another nineteen patients have also recovered from the coronavirus, all from the Home Based Isolation and Care program, the Health Ministry said.

Total recoveries are now 317,546.

No Covid-19 related death has been reported in the latest statistics.

Cumulative fatalities remain 5,647.

Further, “a total of nineteen patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while one hundred and twenty-four are under the Home Based Isolation and Care program,” Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said.

 One patient is in the ICU.

Kenya on Friday announced it had vaccinated 24,116 people in the last 24 hours.

The country has administered some 17.3 million vaccines so far, and only 29 per cent of the adult population is fully vaccinated.
