Zenani Orengo, daughter of Siaya Governor James Orengo, has married her partner, Justin Wanyoike, in a lavish wedding ceremony.
The ceremony brought together family members, friends and close associates to celebrate the couple, with the veteran politician proudly walking his daughter down the aisle.
Zenani wore a Cinderella-style white wedding gown as she exchanged vows with Justin before a well-attended gathering.
The venue was decorated in white and floral-themed arrangements, while the groom wore a white tuxedo paired with black trousers.
The groomsmen complemented him in black tuxedos, while the bridesmaids wore green dresses.
Among those who attended the ceremony was Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, alongside other members of the Linda Mwananchi political grouping.
The guests later shared messages congratulating the couple on social media.
“Today, we joined my senior, Governor James Orengo, for the wedding of his daughter, Zenani Orengo, and Justin Wanyoike,” Babu wrote on Facebook.
“We wish the newlyweds a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and God’s abundant blessings. Congratulations to Zenani and Justin!”
The ceremony also drew attention to the absence of Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, a close political ally of the Orengo family.
According to updates shared on Sifuna’s Facebook page, the senator was in Kabuchai, Bungoma County, where he attended the burial of Mama Alina Namalwa Wakwabubi, the mother of his colleague, Hon Consolata Wakwabubi.
Zenani’s wedding is the latest in a series of family milestones for the Orengos, who have seven children: sons Michael, Bob and Steven, and daughters Zenani, Josephine, Lavender and Lynette.
She is the third of the siblings to have a high-profile wedding in recent years. In October 2022, Lavender married Albert Adur in a ceremony attended by the late opposition leader Raila Odinga.
In October 2024, Michael, an architect, married Samantha Luseno at the ACK All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
Kenyans also took to social media to congratulate Zenani and Justin, with many sending messages of goodwill to the newlyweds.
On Facebook, Nahashon Odoyo wrote: “He who finds a wife, finds a good thing. Congratulations.”
