Renowned Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again grabbed headlines after turning an exclusive factory invitation into a multimillion-shilling luxury shopping spree.
After receiving a personal invitation from Jacob & Co. founder Jacob Arabo to tour the prestigious watchmaker's factory, the flamboyant tycoon decided to treat himself instead.
Rather than simply touring the facility, Chivayo splurged on a collection of luxury timepieces worth a staggering Sh556 million ($4.3m).
In a video seen by TNX Africa, Chivayo is heard asking about various watches as Arabo introduces them.
"This is called Billionaire. This is Jean Bugatti Tourbillon, Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition and Caviar Tourbillon Yellow Sapphire watch," Arabo says.

Sharing the experience on social media, Chivayo wrote, "TIME IS MONEY... that awkward moment when you're invited to the @Jacobandco1 factory by the owner @jacobarabo and you decide to spoil yourself with a few classic watches worth USD 4.3 million... GOD IS THE GREATEST."
It is not the first time Chivayo has attracted public attention for his lavish spending.
Earlier this year, a video showed him handing out cash to employees at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
The footage, seen by TNX Africa, captured Chivayo standing outside his luxury Gulfstream G550 private jet, estimated to be worth Sh4.3 billion ($34 million).
Dressed in a navy blue tracksuit, he held a thick bundle of cash and handed it to airport workers wearing reflective vests.
At one point, he reached back into the aircraft to collect more money before smiling and pocketing the remaining notes.
Chivayo is widely known for his extravagant lifestyle and close ties with influential African leaders.
He frequently shares photos with heads of state, including President William Ruto and Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan. He is also the founder of Intratrek Zimbabwe, a green energy company involved in solar and hydroelectric power projects.
However, his business career has also been marked by legal controversy.
Chivayo served three years in prison after a fraud conviction in 2004. In 2015, his company secured a Sh22,254,667,200 ($172 million) contract to build a solar power plant and received an advance payment of Sh724,570,560 ($5.6 million).
Although he admitted in 2017 that construction had not begun and the project remains incomplete, he was later cleared of all criminal charges linked to the deal.
Despite criticism over stalled projects, Chivayo continues to showcase his wealth on social media. Besides handing out cash to airport workers, he regularly gifts luxury vehicles to associates.
His recent purchases include a brand-new Mercedes-Benz for his lawyer, a Sh11,644,884 ($90,000) luxury SUV for musician Tocky Vibes, and a Range Rover for entertainer Wagwizi.
