Tony Ndiema's younger brother, Mike Msella, has shared a heartbreaking tribute describing the late Ohangla singer as his brother, father, teacher, and best friend, saying he is still struggling to accept that he is gone.
In an emotional Facebook post, Mike revealed he remains in denial over Ndiema's death, saying the reality of the loss has not yet sunk in.
"As your younger brother, I don't even know what to say about you. I see you lying there. I called your name over and over, but you didn't respond. I see people posting you everywhere on social media, yet I'm still in denial," he wrote.
Mike described Ndiema as the strongest person he had ever known, adding that he never imagined seeing him in such a state.
"I know you were the strongest person I've ever known. I never thought I'd see you like this. More than my brother, you were my best friend, my father and my teacher, the pillar of our house," he added.
He also penned an emotional message in Dholuo, expressing the depth of his grief.
"Eiih Ndiema, inega osiepa, inega. Inega Wuod Okinyo, inega. Itieka Wuod Nyar Jane."
Ndiema's death has left family, friends, fans, and colleagues in mourning, with tributes continuing to pour in from across the entertainment industry.
Ohangla star Prince Indah described Ndiema as a brother and a pillar of the music community, reflecting on their shared journey in the industry.
"From the same music industry where dreams were nurtured... From the same grounds of toil where laughter once echoed... This evening, we stand united in silence, bound not by festivity but by a great loss. One of our own, Tony Ndiema Wuod Okinyi, has taken a final bow."
Singer Suzanna Owiyo also mourned Ndiema, describing his death as a huge loss to the industry.
"It's with profound sorrow that we mourn the untimely loss of one great Ohangla sensational artist, Tony Ndiema. His incredible talent will never be forgotten."
