Popular streamer IShowSpeed will launch a foundation aimed at expanding access to sports and recreational opportunities for young people worldwide, with the campaign set to begin in Africa.
The streamer, who has been seen wearing various handmade Kenyan and African bracelets, officially announced that the IShowSpeed Foundation will expand its work across the continent, focusing on giving young Africans opportunities to move, create, and discover their potential.
“Travelling the world has shown me we are all the same. Kids everywhere just want to have fun and chase their dreams. I am excited to launch this foundation and give back to the communities that show me so much love every single day,” he wrote on the foundation’s platform.
The foundation, founded by the American streamer, is expected to partner with global and community-led organisations to create opportunities for children to play, learn and develop through sports.
It will also leverage digital platforms and online influence to convert entertainment reach into real-world support for grassroots communities.
The announcement, made months after he visited several African countries, drew excitement from fans.
IShowSpeed’s “Speed Does Africa” tour, which ran from December 29 to January 27, 2027, covered 20 countries in 28 days.
The tour was widely noted for reshaping global perceptions of Africa, as the streamer highlighted cultural heritage, traditions and everyday life rather than conventional tourist experiences.
He focused on local cuisine, traditional ceremonies and public interactions.
The livestreams from the tour reportedly drew nearly 9 million views within 15 hours, while also pushing his YouTube channel past 48 million subscribers.
Now, his philanthropic push is set alongside other high-profile initiatives on the continent, including efforts by organisations such as the MrBeast philanthropic projects focused on clean water access, as well as foundations associated with figures like Trevor Noah.
