YouTube star MrBeast is funding 1,000 surgeries in Kenya, providing life-changing treatment for patients who had waited years for care they couldn’t afford.

In one of his largest philanthropic projects yet, MrBeast and his Beast Philanthropy team set up three surgical camps across the country, partnering with local hospitals and doctors to reach patients in urgent need.

The surgeries ranged from restoring vision to treating complex conditions that had been left untreated for years.

“In this video, we’re going to give a thousand life-changing surgeries to people in need,” MrBeast says. He admits the project was intense, even for his experienced team. “I wasn’t super certain we were going to be able to finish. Some of these were massive operations.”

For many patients, the wait for treatment had been long and painful. Some had struggled with poor eyesight for years, while others lived with conditions that limited their ability to work or live comfortably.

One patient, Shadrack, had a thyroid condition that affected both his health and confidence. “I have a problem here,” he says in the video, pointing to his neck. “This side is not working normally.”

Another beneficiary, Mama Jane, had her surgery a month earlier and felt immediate relief. “Before the surgery, I was tired, and I didn’t breathe well,” she says. “When I heard about the surgery at Baraka Hospital, I was very excited.”

MrBeast, widely recognised as one of the most influential people in the world, has made philanthropy a defining part of his brand.
