A viral video has captured Call of Duty co-creator Vince Zampella’s red Ferrari crashing, causing his death.
The super fast car was recorded dashing out of a tunnel on the Angeles Crest Highway in Altadena, California, before it lost control and collided with the concrete barriers separating the road from the San Gabriel Mountains.
Vince's car then burst into flames as bystanders rushed to the scene and pulled a person from the car.
California Highway Patrol reported that there were two people inside, a passenger who was ejected from the vehicle, and Vince, who remained trapped.
While the video does not show the victim inside the car, it does capture bystanders rescuing the passenger from the burning vehicle.
The crash occurred around midday on December 21, 2025, on the winding Angeles Crest Highway, a route notorious for its sharp curves and steep drop-offs.
CHP officials confirmed that the Ferrari was traveling at high speed when it lost control, though the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Emergency responders arrived within minutes, but unfortunately, Vince was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, though initially rescued by bystanders, was also reported to have died shortly after in the hospital.
The dramatic footage from bystanders showed how quickly a high-speed accident turned fatal.
Vince Zampella, 55, was a titan in the video game industry, best known as the co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise and co-founder of Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
