Anerlisa Muigai, the heiress to the Keroche Breweries empire, has expressed her immense excitement and pride as her family's company reopens its doors after a three-year hiatus. The beverage giant, known for its flagship brands including beers had been at the center of a dramatic financial and regulatory battle, which led to its closure. However, after years of challenges, the brewery is now making a triumphant return to the market.

In a heartfelt social media post, Anerlisa shared her enthusiasm, drawing on a powerful metaphor: "A sleeping elephant is still taller than a walking gazelle." This poignant statement encapsulates her belief that despite the temporary setbacks Keroche faced, the company's legacy and strength remain unmatched in the industry.

"Keroche was closed to for three years but because of Gods favour, we have managed to re-open again," Anerlisa wrote on Instagram. "I was so excited to witness this,"

Anerlisa shared a video of her visiting and chatting to plant operators with their flagship beer Summit being produced in the company of her husband Joe Kariuki.

For the naysayers, she had a subtle message with a cheeky clip of KRA stickers. The tax man had been hot on her family's company which led to several bouts in court as the Authority claimed the Naivasha based company owed it billions including details of unpaid corporate tax, excise duty, VAT and penalties.

KRA has also shut the operations of the beer maker and froze its dealings with 36 banks, further exacerbating the situation.
