These artistes will strut the red carpet with their significant others and even scoop the front row seats, because they can!

DK Kwenye Beat and Shannice
For years now, DK and Shannice have been in a stable relationship that started way before he rose up the ranks on the Kenyan showbiz scene.

“Our relationship is founded on many principles that we believe in because life in the limelight is not a walk in the park. It is through trust and love that such relationships can work and I appreciate her support so far,” DK told Pulse.

Hopekid and Yvonne Orio
From Tanzania with love the lovely Yvonne has showcased fashion wear for a variety of fashion houses. Theirs was a love story brewed in the concerts as the two initially became friends long before they took their relationship to the next level.

“Love knows no boundaries! You cannot simply ask gospel artistes to ignore it because God is love and he ordained man and woman to be together. Just be responsible with it,” Hopekid affirmed.

Initially private about their relationship, the two made their first public appearance at the Groove Awards 2014 red carpet where they wore matching ensembles. Talk about driving the point home!

Dr Ofweneke and Veronica Wanja
His witty side must have had an impact on her because these two lovebirds always seem to have a joke up their sleeves.

Away from his busy schedule owing to his comedy and emceeing careers, Dr Ofweneke is set to be a father this year and he revealed to Pulse that this is the most excited he has ever been.

“Veronica and I are excited about our bundle of joy and the world can simply chill and watch us do our thing,” Ofweneke said.

Mr T and Leah Wairimu
Beauty and brains are what Mr T saw in Leah when they started dating years back. To date, he is not scared to admit just how much value she has added to his life and musical career.

Leah doubles up as his publicist. When asked how gospel relationships should work,Mr T said:

“The same principle as when relating with God should be used when relating with a person you love. That way the couple stays conscious of their actions. Show me a God fearing man and I will show you an established house,” he said.

The Kisogo hit singer and the Tahidi High actress met back in the day when she (Mercy) was in a gospel dance group and their friendship blossomed into love.

A few years later, the couple welcomed their first son Jamari who they admit has kept them close despite the ups and down.

Mr Seed confirms that he has been in a relationship with Elizabeth for close to two years.

“People will always want to judge gospel artistes forgetting that they are human too. As long as a couple has their relationship values right, they should stay strong and have fun while at it,” Mr Seed told Pulse

Whenever gospel group Christ Cycoz graces the red carpet, they often have their pretty lasses by their side. With some like Ben and Barbara having dated for years, it is evident that even young love works in the gospel world.

On behalf of the group, Dambiz and Kagz noted: “It’s hard to find someone who can complement you and push you to be better at your goals so if you do have one, keep her.”
