Award-winning American actress, writer, and producer Jo-Issa Rae Diop, credited professionally as Issa Rae is officially off the market.
The creator of the HBO popular series Insecure took to social media to announce that she has tied the knot with her fiancé Louis Diame.
The 36-year-old married Louis at Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, in the South of France over the weekend in a ceremony attended by close friends and relatives.
“A) Impromptu photoshoot in a custom @verawang dress. B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were sooooo embarrassed. C) Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband. Big thanks to @whiteedenweddings for being so gracious and accommodating and making this feel so real and special,” she captioned photos from her big day.
Further confirming that the wedding actually took place and Issa is off the market, American fashion designer Vera Wang who actually designed the wedding gown, took to the comment section to wish Issa a blissful union.
“You look ethereal. Wishing you and Louis continued happiness and joy in your new life together,” she posted.
According to E! News, some of the guests in attendance include Issa’s Insecure co-stars, Yvonne Orji and Jay Ellis, who shared photos of their looks from the event.
Issa and Louis are notoriously private about their relationship and only confirmed their engagement after she wore her ring on the cover of Essence magazine in 2019.
