Kenyans on social media have shared various sentiments on the International Men’s Day being marked today. The annual celebrations are meant to recognize men’s efforts in building families and highlight the role of men in society. Men’s health and the relationship between the genders are also key focuses on this day, with 2020’s theme being “better health for men and boys.” On social media, one of the key issues netizens sought to highlight was men’s mental health, toxic masculinity and the need to speak out. Others noted the stark difference between the nature of celebrations or lack thereof between International Men’s Day and International Women's Day marked on March 8.
