Starehe MP Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar has shared photos of a plane he bought being refurbished.  Through a series of photos, the first-time MP showed the plane being painted in white and red.

The plane, which only spots two rear wheels and is mounted on a lawn is believed to have been acquired by Jaguar during an auction by the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) on August 9.

“Progress,” he captioned the recent photos which show holes being dug and metallic bars erected, presumably to mount the plane.

I bought a plane

Jaguar has been the butt of social media jokes ever since sharing a photo of the unpainted plane because, in 2014, he had claimed to have purchased a working aircraft.

At the height of his much-publicized feud with the then self-declared ‘King of Bling,’ Prezzo, Jaguar claimed to have bought a plane, which coincidentally spotted red and white paint.

“On my private jet for private bizness with my homeboy Trapee… Like how things change when you believe...Thank God. Last call before I am off....love my life,” he wrote on July 12, 2014.

KAA Auction

Jaguar’s plane reveal comes a month after KAA invited bidders for the auctioning of 12 planes. An advert in the dailies on 23 July communicated that the cheapest plane at the auction, a BE 55 Baron with registration number 5Y-AUS operated by Queensway Air Services went for a reserve price of Sh94,300.

The most expensive was a Hulanda, registration 5H-KLA, and operated by Tandrill Limited that went for Sh10,045,000.
