Muthoni Drummer Queen featured in Vogue

In case you never knew, Muthoni Drummer Queen (MDQ) has one of the biggest international following for a Kenyan artist similar to STL, Octopizzo and Victoria Kimani.

So it comes as no surprise that she is one of the most influential celebrities locally.

Then again, she has a quirky style with coloured hair that makes her hard to miss. Oh and she drums too!

Currently in Europe for her media tour following the release of her album SHE, MDQ was among 16 phenomenal women picked by fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue to represent the country in The Kenyan Cool Girl’s Guide to Nairobi.

The only chart topping artist to make it to the list, Muthoni divulges much about her favourite spots naming Karen as a must-explore.

“My favourite part of the city to go exploring is Karen. There are lots of boutiques, restaurants, galleries and artisanal spaces” she stated.

“My Nairobi guilty pleasure is the street food. Nothing beats a boiled egg with some spicy salsa after a night out” she shared.

Excited about the publicity the international magazine has accorded her, MDQ broke the news of her feature via her social media.
