  • They smeared the polling station with faeces and barricaded roads
  • They threatened to smear anyone who dared to vote

There was drama in Mombasa County early today after angry youth protesting against the repeat poll stormed a polling station armed with faeces.

The youth who were chanting anti-election slogans smeared the polling station at Jomvu Constituency, Mombasa, with faeces.

Voters who had turned up to vote had to run for their lives after they threatened to smear them with faeces if they dare vote.

They then barricade a road leading to the station.

Police were however deployed quickly and dispersed the group who disappeared into the nearby Bangladesh slum.
