Tibim: Babu Owino causes drama on his first day in Parliament

• Embakasi East MP Babu Owino causes drama as he takes his oath by swearing his allegiance to NASA’s Raila
• He was made to repeat the oath and he ended it with a ‘Tibim!’

Embakasi East Member of National Assembly Babu Owino has marked his entry into Parliament with controversy.

When taking his oath, Babu added “Raila Amolo Odinga” before he was stopped and made to repeat the entire oath.

In the oath, the MPs are to swear allegiance to the Republic of Kenya and that’s where he inserted the name of NASA’s leader.

In his retake, he ended the oath by saying “Tibim!”
