SDE, Standard Digital’s entertainment brand has been voted “Best Entertainment & Lifestyle Website” in Africa.
SDE beat Kick Off and House and Garden websites both from South Africa to be crowned at the African Digital Media Awards 2016, a prestigious award ceremony held by WAN-IFRA (World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers).
The awards ceremony, in recognition of outstanding digital media projects, was held at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Present to receive the award was Standard Group Managing Director print and Innovation Francis Munywoki, Digital Manager David Ohito and head of the commercial digital section Adam Muthama.
SDE, which is also the leading entertainment website in Kenya, was voted best for its dynamic website and quality content.
Ralf Ressmann, a director at WAN IFRA congratulated SDE for the unrivalled entertainment content that dwarfed rivals across the African continent.
