Nsana Jules(l) was the promoter of Koffi Olomide's show

Over Sh5 million had been sunk into the aborted Koffi Olomide Nairobi concert and now, the promoter behind the show is counting losses.

The Congolese musician was deported to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Saturday following an assault incident in which the artiste kicked one of his dancers in front of cameras.

Nsana Jules, the promoter behind the show, has reportedly gone into depression following the failed concert.
After news broke out that Koffi had been deported, scores started calling Nsana Promotions demanding to get a refund of their ticket money.

Fans had bought advance tickets that were going for Sh4,000 and Sh2,500. The VIP slots that were going for Sh4,000 had reportedly sold out.

The promoter had fully paid Koffi’s performance fee and settled all logistics' plans ahead of the Saturday night show that never was.

The singer had been booked into a presidential suite at the luxurious Villa Rosa Kempinski hotel where his entire team was also meant to stay.

On Saturday at 12 noon, the 60-year-old Koffi left the country via Kenya Airways in the company of three dancers and his lead singer who doubles as his girlfriend Cindy Lokole.
The rest of the crew departed later the same day.
