More often than not, activists are the loud, assertive society members, who boldly challenge the status quo, so that their fellow citizens can have justice. Boniface Mwangi has led demonstrations, paraded outside parliament and even been arrested too many times. At some point, he came out saying that he was ready to change his activism ways and spend quality time with his family.
On the other hand, Babu Owino is the SONU chair at Nairobi University, whose iron fist has seen students’ interests addressed, but it now seems his recent student bail has brought forth numerous issues.
According to Boniface, Babu bailed out students accused of rape rather than defending and upholding the rights of the lass who had been affected.
“When student leadership SONU @Babu_Owino decides to side with a suspect of rape, because he is one of his goons, Nairobi University should act” Boniface said.

“Y’all have been busy. Innocent until proven guilty is my stance.”
Could this be the “dark days of campus women” as the trend suggested? Only time will tell.
