There was a significant shift in the Radio scene when popular radio presenters Mbusii and Lion Moha moved from Ghetto Radio to Radio Jambo. It shocked everyone most especially the fanatical following that Mbusii commanded in his evening show ‘Goteana’ which he hosted with Bonoko.

Many wondered what would happen to the ‘Goteana’ show and whether Mbusii would carry the audience along with him. But most importantly, about Bonoko, Mbusii’s co host who complemented his show perfectly.

In an interview on Str8up Live, Mbusii came out to clear the air. According to him, Bonoko is still with Ghetto Radio and is doing great. He now has a chance to fly on his own, refine his abilities and mature in the business. He however hopes that soon enough, the two will be united and continue doing their thing.

Asked about the huge salary they are being paid at Radio Jambo, which has been quoted as high as 650,000 by some online sites, Mbusii laughed it off. “Those are just media stories,” he said, but he did admit that the station is paying them well enough.

As for the reggae concert fiasco that happened, Mbusii and Moha place the blame squarely on the promoters.

In their opinion, reggae is no longer a respected entity; it’s all about making money now, a lot of greed on the side of the promoters.
