Ezekiel Kemboi arrives at the Eldoret International Airport (EIA)

after  an impressive win at the Beijing.

He arrived to a low key reception and was welcomed by

his wife Naomi and his two sisters

The Beijing victory was a special moment for four-time world 3000m steeplechase champion Ezekiel Kemboi’s family. His wife Jane and their sons Dennis, 13, and Victor, 10, wake him up for morning runs.

“I knew he was capable of winning because he had trained well. Our father is confident of himself and always certain of victory when he is well prepared. We wake him up for training sessions,” says Dennis.
Victor, the younger one, says: “As the son of Ezekiel Kemboi, I must thank him for the win. I am proud of him. I help him in his trainings.”

“My husband had prepared well. We give him good diet and a healthy life. Of course, I also show love for him to prepare himself psychologically,” says Jane.

Kemboi’s second wife Naomi Chepchumba and the children picked him from the airport.
Minutes after he was picked at the Eldoret Airport, Kemboi got off and jogged to his home leaving wife Naomi to drive with the children and his luggage.
