The president’s personal assistant and nephew was one of the guests at the re-elected Sonu chairman Babu Owino’s victory party. Reliable sources tell us that Jomo was strategically in attendance for political purposes, but did not talk much with Babu as he were swarmed by over-excited fans.

Jomo was buying drinks for the celebrating students and mingled freely with them. He let loose and seemed to be having so much fun,” said our sources.

Babu Owino also confirmed that indeed Jomo was part of the party that went on till dawn. “Jomo has been my friend and came as a friend. Jomo and Uhuru supported me throughout the elections,” he sensationally claimed.

Does that mean that Babu is affiliated to Jubilee?

No, I don’t take sides. As a student leader, I support both of them,”Babu said, adding that this was the last time he would be vying for Sonu elections as he plans on joining national politics. Babu also claimed that he would be hosting former Central African Republic president, Michel Djotodia, very soon.
