A 30-year-old man, accused of breaking a Sh120,000 Range Rover car windscreen, tickled a city court when he demanded that the magistrate order his testicles be treated before the case could continue.

Collins Ochieng, according to police details, committed the offence on June 15 along Mombasa road by breaking the costly windscreen belonging to the posh vehicle of George Orwa Okumu.

Ochieng further told the court that the mob injustice he underwent caused him a lot of bodily harm and he needed to be treated first before proceeding with the case.

According to police, Okumu was driving when he saw a group of people who looked like they were demonstrating towards his direction.

While slowing down to see what was happening, a huge stone landed on his windscreen, smashing it into smithereens.

When Okumu alighted, he was further insulted by Ochieng and others who were not in court and told his windscreen was hit because he was driving slowly.

When they discovered how serious the matter was, they tried to flee the scene. Unfortunately for Ochieng, bodaboda riders reprehended him and subjected him to mob injustice before police came to his rescue.

At the Magistrate’s court in Makadara, where he was arraigned to face damaging of property case, Ochieng told the court that he broke the windscreen by mistake.

Ochieng was nevertheless released on Sh20,000 cash bail with order that he be treated, according to his plea with his trial set for September 10.
