Recently, an Indian media house posted a nasty joke in regards to Deepika Padukone’s cleavage from the new movie, Finding Fanny.
They inserted a video clip showing her cleavage during a scene in the movie.
This did not go well with her Twitter fans who regarded the move as disrespectful.
“Yes! I am a woman. I have breasts and a cleavage! You got a problem!!??” Padukone Tweeted on September 14.
“Don’t talk about women’s empowerment when you don’t know how to respect women!” she added as a rejoinder.
Her Tweets created quite a storm.
Her three back-to-back Tweets had over 1,500 re-tweets in less than an hour and so many other celebrities sharing her sentiments.
The hashtag #StandWithDeepikaPadukone trended from the weekend and this certainly triggered the media group to respond.
“It’s a compliment! You look so great that we want to make sure everyone knew! :)” the said media house Tweeted.
