Doja Cat has revealed that she contracted COVID-19 but has made a full recovery after a four-day ordeal. The 24-year-old American rapper, who previously said 'she didn't give a f***' about the pandemic, didn't say when she came down with the virus but speculated that she had contracted it through a food delivery service. Speaking to Capital XTRA, the musician explained that she had a 'freakout' of symptoms that lasted four days.
“I got COVID," Doja Cat, whose real name is Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini, said.
"Honestly, I don’t know how this happens, but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and I don’t know how I got it, but I got it.”

Doja Cat also failed to mention during her conversation with Yinka and Shayna Marie whether she had actually been tested for the virus or just showed symptoms. A representative for the musician has been contacted for comment. At the start of the pandemic, Doja Cat downplayed the seriousness of coronavirus during an appearance on Instagram Live. In her video, the Say So musician appeared to mock people that were fearful of the deadly virus.
