Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has been hospitalized at the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi after a minor accident.
The Governor had attended the 2nd National Universal Health Conference in Nyeri County on Tuesday 11 September evening wearing a sling on his arm.
According to a statement released by his communication secretary Aloice Ager, Governor Nyongo slipped and fell and after consulting a doctor, they found out that his humerus bone was fractured.
"With excruciating pain, he consulted a doctor in Nyeri and an X-ray was performed, revealing the fracture of the humerus bone… Yesterday (Wednesday), he addressed the conference in the morning wearing a sling on his left arm." Read the statement.

During his speech at the conference in Nyeri, Nyong’o emphasized on the need to care for people living with disability.
“We have prepared a disability Bill in the Kisumu County Assembly that specifies the needs of PWDs (people living with disability) in the health sector and also ways they can have their needs catered for across sectors,” he said.
