Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititus’s wife has been arrested.
Susan Wangare, was apprehended on Wednesday 15 August alongside 15 other people.
They were arrested in connection to illegal and unapproved construction of buildings in Nairobi.
Governor Waititu is vehemently opposed to the ongoing demolition of buildings put up on riparian and road reserves.

On Sunday, the popular Governor termed the demolitions as a big loss of resources to investors both foreign and local.
He called on relevant authorities to focus on diverting the course of the rivers instead of demolishing the structures.
