Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris on Sunday 29 April posted a fraud alert exposing how Kenyans are conned by a man, Daniel Odhiambo, who claims he is from her office.
Ms. Passaris took the screenshot of the fraud message alerting people to be aware of what was happening.
The message asks people to transfer an amount of Sh5, 870 to a given direct line and hand in personal details as well.
“Congratulations from INUA VIJANA NA BODABODA PROJECT you are my LUCKY WINNER number 7. Contact my direct office line 0718649564 and give in your details to my PERSONAL ASSISTANT Mr. Daniel Odhiambo and do the logbook TRANSFER to your name at 5870/= Only. CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN MBELE PAMOJA,” read the fraud message.

The Woman Representative dismissed the message and asked Kenyans to caution their friends and loved ones as well. She also gave the genuine direct line for her office
“FRAUD ALERT: It has come to my attention that "Daniel Odhiambo", purporting to be from my office is conning people through a fictitious project. Please caution your friends & loved ones not to fall prey to his tactics. Our office line is 0777 303101 / 0782 303101,” Ms. Passaris posted on her Twitter handle.
