Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has come out to defend himself from angry Arsenal fans, saying that he was not responsible for making Alexis Sanchez choose Manchester United and leave the Gunners.
Henry has come under fire of late following Sanchez’s confession of how they spoke before he eventually completed a move to Old Trafford.
Sanchez, after signing for Man United, told reporters that before he made the decision, he spoke to Henry since the Frenchman also went through the same thing before moving to La Liga giants FC Barcelona in 2007.
The Chile international revealed that he spoke with Henry before making his choice. This angered many Arsenal fans who referred to Henry as a ‘snake’ after the revelation.

“I remember today, a conversation I had with Henry, a historic Arsenal player, who changed club for the same reason and today is my turn,” wrote Sanchez.
Following rants and insults by Arsenal fans online, Henry went to Twitter to clarify the issue, saying that he never spoke to Sanchez about moving to Manchester United.
“I know I don’t need to explain this to the majority of Arsenal fans but contrary to speculation at no time did I tell Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal. I had no idea he was going to sign for Man Utd until I saw it on the news like the rest of you,” said Henry.

Jose Mourinho heaped praise on Sanchez after his move, saying the Chilean is one of the best attacking players in the world and will be a great addition to the young Man United squad.
Sanchez is now the highest-paid player in England, clicking 600,000 thousand euros in a week before tax.
He could make his debut for Jose Mourinho’s side on Friday when they travel to Huish Park to face minnows Yeovil Town in the FA Cup.
