KILIFI COUNTY: President Uhuru Kenyatta has dismissed claims that there is an outbreak of the quick-killing Ebola disease in the Kenya.
The head of state has cautioned envoys of foreign countries in Kenya against advising their Governments to issue travel advisories to their citizen planning to tour Kenya.
Kenyatta made the remarks at Kenya Medical Research Institute in Kilifi Friday when he officially opened a training facility within the human medicine research centre before joining staff at the institute to mark its 25th year anniversary.
The president said claims that Kenya had been hit by Ebola outbreak are misleading and urged foreign countries not to speculate.
The head of state made the remarks after Kilifi county governor, Amason Kingi told him that tourists from foreign countries have feared to visit the country due to Ebola outbreak threat claims.

The governor said he had led a delegation of officers from his administration for tour of Italy to market the county tourism but were shocked when he was informed by authorities of that nation that their people cannot tour Kenya due to claims of an Ebola outbreak.
