Nyandarua, Kenya: The Nyandarua County government has set aside Sh15 million to set up two milk cooling plants in the region.
Governor Daniel Waithaka said the initiative is expected to help curb exploitation of dairy farmers by middlemen.
"One of my promises was to revive the agricultural sector which is the backbone of Nyandarua. That is why we are putting up cooling plants in major centres where milk is produced in large quantities," he said in his office yesterday.
