Posta Rangers moved one-point clear of defending champions Gor Mahia after playing out to a 1-1 draw against Kakamega Homeboyz in a midweek FKF Premier League match played at Bukhungu Stadium.
Rising Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah found the back of the net in the seventh minute before Benard Ondiek equalized with a powerful header at the half hour mark.
The draw moved Ranger a point above Gor as they stay top with 20 points.
K'Ogalo who defeated Shabana 1-0 on Wednesday are second with 19 points.
Newbies Murang'a SEAL are third with 17 points after a stellar star to life in topflight football.
Kakamega Homeboyz on the other hand are 10th with 12 points.
Posta Rangers head coach John Kamau was happy with the way his team played.
Kamau said it was important to get the one point away from home, but blamed the rainy weather which affected their game plan.
"We played well but the weather disrupted our way of play, but am happy with the one point we've earned away from home. The journey continues since we still have a long way to go," he said.
