Nigerian defender Saka Azeez was confirmed dead after he collapsed during training with his team Kwara United.
Azeez who joined Kwara United from Zamfara United collapsed during training at the Kwara State Stadium complex and died despite several attempts to resuscitate him.
The defender has played only one game for Kwara United this season.
According to several of his teammates, the defender never showed any sign of sickness before the tragic incident.
Kwara United coach John Obuh described Azeez as a good player and refused to comment further on the issue.

Kwara United have cancelled training till Monday as a mark of respect for Saka Azeez.
