Mike Makori

Pulse: Good style is.......

Mike: Swanky, comfortable, and precise.

P: A well-dressed woman can never go wrong so long as......

M: She is classy and fabulous.

P: Which is the most expensive outfit you have worn to an event?

M: A bespoke suit. I can’t reveal the price.

P: You will never ever dress up for?

M: Bed.

P: The least amount of money you have spent on a haircut is?

M: Sh250

P: Official or casual. Where does your style fall?

M: I would say smart casual. I dress according to the occasion. I believe style is about how you carry yourself in whatever you wear. Having a fit that is tailored to you and your body is a principle I live by.

P: If given a Sh50,000 voucher what would you spend it on?

M: Well, since we are talking about style and fashion, I would go thrift shopping at Toi market. It’s cheap and you can get a huge variety of clothing.

P: Which celebrity style do you resonate with?

M: Jidenna, David Beckham and Puff Daddy. They are classic men who know how to dress for their personalities.

P: On a lazy day spent at home you would be caught wearing?

M: Sleeping trousers, house sandals, a tee and a hoodie.

P: The most money you can spend on a watch is?

M: I am of the opinion that a watch does not make the man. Throughout history we’ve seen that the noblest of men have been grossly under time-pieces.

P: Where do you mostly shop for unique items?

M: All over the place. I don’t discriminate. I never shop at one place.
