NAKURU, KENYA: A criminal case against Nakuru East MP David Gikaria will now proceed on September 10 before a Nakuru court.
Gikaria is facing charges of stealing 21 steel posts, 23 lanterns and one road sign post, all valued at Sh210,000 and being property of Nakuru Municipal Council on diverse dates between July 2 and 4.
He has also been charged with possession of stolen property at Pangani Estate in Nakuru town.
The MP has denied both charges. Gikaria, who is out on bond of Sh60,000, has failed to attend the hearing of the criminal case on at least two previous occasions.
