My style is…

Semi-formal outfits most of the time; I like wearing fitting shirts, formal trousers and a tie.

I am not a fun of jeans because …

The semi-formal look flatters my body structure much better. But I dress in casual clothes once in a while when I am feeling laid-back.

To look good I …

Work out every three to four times a week. Since I cannot flaunt my lower body, I try to work with my upper body since it’s the most flattering. Therefore I have to make sure I am well toned.

What has changed about your look since you joined the industry?

I used to dress in the old school rap looks of baggy jeans and T-shirts but I have evolved over time. I see myself as a modern rapper and try to dress more into fitting clothes that define my body.

Which lady in the industry dresses in ways that appeal to you?

In the music industry, I think Avril dresses her curvaceous figure well although she can do better when it comes to accessorising. While in the modelling industry, most models are clichÈ, and lack personal style.

A look I would like to try…

Is the punk and geek look. I am still gathering courage, as I am not that daring. When dressing I try to stand out but also not screaming for attention.

Catch me dead in a…

Mohawk; the style does not work on African hair as it needs to be either spiky or gelled and our hair is too hard for that.

I would never wear skinny jeans either. It blurs the line between being straight and gay and I would not want to be confused for what I am not.

How would you dress your date?

Firstly, she has to be curvy and tall, so the skinny jeans can snuggle her hips complemented by a bright coloured top. If it is a hot day, sun dresses and sandals would be just perfect.

Which fashion era would you like to get back to?

1970’s; I like the Afro, bell-bottoms and big buckles. I have one bell-bottom at home that I am yet to wear for one of the soul nights.

Style tip?

Feel while you dress, don’t dress how you feel; your mood could spoil your look.
