Raila Odinga-led Azimio Coalition will accept Supreme Court ruling on the disputed presidential election, Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli has said.

Atwoli, a key supporter of Raila campaigns, said they had advised the former premier to seek redress in court to overturn President-elect William Ruto's win.

Speaking at the burial of Isaiah Kubai in Igembe South in Meru County, Atwoli asked Kenyans to let peace prevail, as they await the outcome of Azimio's planned petition against Ruto's win.

The outspoken trade unionist lauded Kenyans and candidates for making sure the elections were conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.

"Kenyans voted in a peaceful atmosphere not witnessed before. That peace must be maintained," he noted, saying workers and employers wanted peace to prevail.

He said peace was paramount and called on the political protagonists to embrace tolerance to safeguard the prevailing peace.

He said Kenyans should commit to accept Supreme Court's decision, just like Odinga and Ruto have.
