With 49 days to elections presidential aspirants for the three major coalitions continued flexing muscles and marshalling crowds to fire up perception they are each a force to reckon with.
Coalition for Reforms and Democracy’s choice, Prime Minister Raila Odinga, was in Bungoma where he declared once again that in case he wins, his rivals in the Jubilee Alliance would have to return what he described as stolen wealth.
In response Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta, who had a rally in Kiambu County retorted that he had stolen nothing from the public and challenged Raila to declare how his family landed the Kisumu Molasses Plant.
The weekend ended with Raila and Amani coalition’s Musalia Mudavadi shadowing each other in Western Kenya as the battle for the Luhya vote intensified.

Raila began his campaigns in Kakamega on Friday, then moved to Kitale and finalised his rallies at Posta Grounds in Bungoma on Sunday.
Mudavadi addressed what could be his biggest rally ever in Bungoma on Friday, moved to Kakamega’s Muliro Gardens the following day and then addressed another meeting in Kitale on Sunday. He moves to Vihiga on Monday.
