Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has distanced himself from a strategic document detailing how he plans to achieve his political objective.

Through his spokesman Munyori Buku, Uhuru said a story in The Standard on Saturday was “fake, propaganda and a product of a desperate source”.

Buku said the authors of the documents and those they work for should know their flagging political careers will not get a short in the arm from such moves.

“Let it be known that Uhuru Kenyatta is busy with his presidential bid and has no time for mischief,” said Buku.

He said the DPM respects his competitors, some of whom he is currently working with closely.

“Uhuru wouldn’t therefore engage in clandestine fifth column activities. The forces of fraud and deception should try a sensible line,” Buku said in a statement.

In the story, we referred to documents that analyses key presidential aspirants on grounds of their political experience, financial capacity, charisma, moral standing and voting blocs among others.
