Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka will miss campaigns this weekend as they are on trips abroad.
Raila is in the UK while Kalonzo travelled to Ghana yesterday on an official tour.

Mr Barack Muluka, the Communication Director at Raila’s Presidential Secretariat, said the PM is expected back on Monday.

“The secretariat is working on a campaign programme with an agenda for the country that would be meaningful for the country. We do not want to engage in weekend meetings meant to bash others,” Muluka said.

And the VP’s spokesman Mr Kaplich Barsito said Kalonzo would attend a service in Nairobi on Sunday upon his return.

Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi will be in Nairobi and Muranga counties this weekend.

Mr Mudavadi will on Sunday attend a mass at Gaturi Parish Church and thereafter visit the home of the elderly. He is expected to officially open the church dispensary, tour Mugeka Secondary School, Donorion Home for the mentally handicapped and Mugeka Polytechnic.

The DPM will also make stopovers at Muranga Town Bus stop, Kaharati (Junction of Kigumo), Sabasaba and Maragua. Eldoret

North MP William Ruto will today tour Voi in Taita Taveta County for campaigns.

On Saturday and Sunday, he will be in Nairobi County before moving to Naivasha on Monday. Assistant minister Peter Kenneth will today be in  Kiambu for a meeting with Kiambu County volunteers for PK 2013.

On Saturday, the Gatanga MP will attend a burial of a former DO in Kibiko, Kajiado North, and on Sunday attend a church service at Kangari in Kigumo, Muranga County.

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua who has been in North Rift region for the entire week will tour Turkana County this weekend to seek support for her presidential bid.

Prof James ole Kiyiapi is expected in Kisumu today to address a teacher’s conference before moving to Kapsabet in Nandi County for rallies.

The former Education PS who is contesting the presidency on Restore and Rebuild Kenya party ticket will attend a church service in Uasin Gishu County on Sunday.

It was not clear by the time of going to press where Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta would take his campaigns this weekend.
