Earlier today, Kenyans woke up to barricaded roads and closed shops on the morning of the anticipated day.
The police officers had blocked roads leading to Nairobi CBD but this didn't stop the young protesters from protesting.
Kenyans from different parts of Nairobi the country came out in numbers but the security personnel majorly managed the situation.
However, there has been some reported fatalities in different parts of Nairobi.
Two people were shot dead in Kangemi. The victims were killed in separate incidents as anti-riot police moved in to disperse protestors who had lit bonfires and were chanting slogans in the area.
