At least 40 churches in Malava Constituency in Kakamega have come together to pray against the demons that are wont to disturb youth during the December long holiday.
Speaking in Malava Town after their one-week crusade, the clergy from the churches said it was better working in a team to sensitise the youth on taking care of themselves during the long holiday.
"Parents and local administrators cannot manage to deal with the youth during school holidays that will last for at least two months.
This has made us come up so that we can help share the good news of the youth who often fall to temptations," said Dinah Shitanda of God Answers by Fire Ministries.
Pastor John Kutondo, Pastor Tabitha Juma, The Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa, Lugusi, said they would engage the youth throughout the holidays.
The clerics challenged church leaders across the nation to initiate programmes to engage youth and stop them from idling.
They have also been going door-to-door and in market places to preach.
