People from all walks of life flocked churches and entertainment joints to celebrate Christmas.
Unlike 2021 when the weather was cold and gloomy, this year the sky was clear with many revelers having to hide in shades from the scorching sun.
President William Ruto led the celebrations by asking Kenyans not to allow circumstances dictate their destiny.
"The humbleness of our means can never limit the possibilities of the future. Let us look out for each other, give what we can to those in need, share love and spread joy," he said.
His sentiments were echoed by First Lady Rachel Ruto who said, "The humblest of places can produce everlasting greatness and desperate circumstances often are the crucibles in which history is changed".
Archbishop of Nyeri Anthony Muheria appealed to Kenyans to be compassionate and donate to those affected by hunger.
