The family of Kenya’s freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi is mourning following the death of his grandson who was an environmental conservationist.
Ted Mukuria was the son of Evelyn Wanjugu, Kimathi's daughter. He died on Tuesday night at the Mpeketoni sub-County Hospital where he had been rushed to.
“My son developed complications and his roommates took him to hospital,” she said.
Wanjugu, the CEO of Dedan Kimathi Foundation said that her son was pronounced dead minutes after he arrived at the facility.
