Labour Party leader, Hon Ababu Namwamba’s family has faced repeated attacks in the past one week. The attacks have happened at the Namwamba home in Port Victoria Busia County.
The attackers forced their way into house by breaking the glass door and padlocks. Other than the vandalizing of property, the attackers did not steal any item from the house.
According to the family spokesman and Ababu’s brother, Prof Tom Namwamba, the attacks are politically instigated and are aimed at intimidating Ababu Namwamba over his political inclinations.
“My life is in danger. I strongly believe that this is a gang sponsored by Raphael Wanjala in his bid to intimidate the Namwamba family as a way of getting to Ababu Namwambu so that they can paralyze his focused thinking,” said Prof Tom Namwamba.
