Pulse: You recently posted an abusive message attacking DNG on Facebook on personal issues, what is the beef between the two of you?

LABALAA: Honestly there is no beef between us. The only problem was that DNG alinikosea kidogo and that is why I reacted the way I did. All the same, he knows exactly the root of the problem and should not beat about the bush.

P: Which is your worst fashion outfit?

Labalaa

L: It was during a video shoot by Wenyeji. I wore a red tracksuit and a pink T-shirt. To date, I still feel embarrassed whenever I watch the video.

P: If DNG gave you his outfit would you ever wear it?

L: Never ever! His clothes are shagmondoz. Why would I choose to put on a weird T-shirt from River Road? In other words DNG ako down tu sana.

P: What do you think of DNG’s music?

L: The dude makes a lot of noise. In fact, I don’t know why Abbas featured him in Chapaa remix. All he did was make noise and spoil the whole idea.

P: If you had a chance to say something about him what would it be?

L: I think it is high time DNG contemplated switching careers. He should either stick to hyping events as opposed to doing music or go back to church, get saved again and try some Gospel act. Moreover, what would you comment about a dude who plays five of his songs during his show? Isn’t he simply the shenzi type?

Nevertheless, I intend to invite him one of these days to hype up my event.

P: If you were to rate him out of ten what would you give him?

L: As a hype-man and noisemaker I would give him five out of ten but as a musician, zero!

P: Suppose you had a studio and were to employ him what position would you give him?

L: He simply would be the cleaner—yaani kufagia taka taka zile watu wametupa.

P: If you were in his shoes what would you do differently?

L: I would strive to sing or rap instead of making noise.

P: If you were locked with him in a room and you had a choice of using a rungu or nyahunyo what would it be?

L: It would definitely be a rungu so he can be gone completely.

P: If you were to do a diss track for him how would it go?

L: He is not worth my diss track since he is still in his musical diapers. Yeye ni kelele tu.

P: If you woke up one day only to find you are DNG what would be your reaction?

L: I would scream my head off and strive to do whatever it takes to change. Unlike him I’m a hustler capable of educating masses.

Pulse: Labalaa recently posted bad comments on Facebook claiming uko down, what’s the beef about?

DNG: I am not aware of any beef. Hiyo ni yake. All the same I do not respond to such kind of stuff.

Pulse: What’s the current project that you are working on?

DNG: I have been doing so much as far as radio is involved. However, musically I have been silent kidogo. All the same I managed to do a collabo with Miss Jojo dubbed Siwezi Enda produced by Robert Kamanzi that topped the charts.

P: Do you recall your worst fashion outfit?

DNG: To tell you the truth I never had a worst fashion outfit considering I am an excellent dresser.

P: If Abbas, Collo and Labalaa gave you their outfits would you ever wear them?

DNG: Never ever! Abbas’s outfit would be too big for me, while Collo’s would probably notfit me considering he is a small dude. As for Labalaa I have no idea how he dresses and so I would rather stick to my clothes.

DNG

P: What do you think of the trio’s music?

DNG: I think Abbas is an excellent rapper who is equally great when it comes to stage

performance. Collo on the other hand is hardworking with an excellent flow while for Labalaa I wouldn’t comment because I don’t listen to his music.

P: If you had a chance to say something about Labalaa what would it be?

DNG: There is nothing to say about him. Like I said earlier, neither do I know much about him nor do I listen to his music.

P: If you were to rate him out of ten what would you give him?

DNG: The fact that I do not know nor listen to his music means I got no basis of rating him. Clearly, you cannot rate someone you do not know anything about.

P: Suppose you had a studio and were to employ him what position would you give him?

DNG: I would opt for someone else to work with. Someone I know and understand like Abbas or Collo.

P: If you were in the trio’s shoe what would you do differently?

DNG: Abbas should strive to land more corporate gigs like Nameless and Jua Cali. As for Collo I would work hard to ensure that my song Sarangoma sells like nobody’s business. But as for Labalaa there is nothing to comment about him. He is one person I don’t know about let alone what he does.

P: If you were locked with Labalaa in a room and you had a choice of using a rungu or nyauhunyo what would it be?

DNG: I would take off considering I am not the violent type.

P: If you were to do a diss track for him how would it go?

DNG: I don’t believe in doing diss tracks because to me it’s like airing your dirty linen in public. The fact that I have matured in all ways does not allow me to indulge in that kind of stuff. Its the same way some people may talk bad about Pulse but this doesn’t mean that the team will stop doing their good work. Diss or vice versa, mi bado niko.

P: If you woke up one day only to find you are Labalaa what would be your reaction?

DNG: I wouldn’t wish for that to happen. After all I love myself too much to ever imagine I would be someone else especially people I know nothing about.
