Dr Ken Ouko was more than a lecturer Never in a million years would I think I would be writing this considering just 7 months ago, I was seated in Ouko's class.
You see, for final year students, he had this thing he did where he would prepare us for the job market by advising us and giving us insight on how to answer frequently asked questions in interviews. Ken, (as we often referred to him), was a fun lecturer.
He was one of those lecturers who bought us breakfast to make up for coming to class an hour early and as a sort of motivation. If you failed in a CAT, he’d give you another one as a chance to redeem yourself.
His lectures were filled with so much laughter and engagement because he always let us speak what was on our minds without shying away.
As a former student of Ken, I am gutted. I am in shock and yet to come to terms with the fact that he has left us. He was more than a lecturer, he was a friend and a mentor to all his students.
