Police are looking for two men alleged to have stabbed their sister to death in Mochengo village on Monday night. The victim was identified as Teresia Ezekiel.
She was a step-sister to the two suspects who disappeared after the incident.
According to area Chief Evans Ocharo, the woman had travelled home from Nairobi on Monday to continue with the construction of a house.
When villagers learnt of her killing they burnt the suspects' houses. Kisii County Police Coordinator Martin Kibet said the suspects would be arrested and arraigned.
“We would like to urge the community to be on the lookout for the killers," he said.
