Some 1,130 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Kenya in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate hitting 22 percent, its highest ever since the onset of the third wave.
The positive cases are from a sample size of 5,119, according to the Ministry of Health.
From the cases, 1,059 are Kenyans while 71 are foreigners with 586 being males and 544 females. The youngest person to test positive is a one-year old baby while the oldest is a 94-year-old.
Nairobi County leads with the most positive confirmed cases (730), followed by Kiambu (118), Machakos (60), Kajiado (33), Nakuru (30) and Meru (24).

Patients who have recovered now stand at 754 in the last 24 hours with 46 being from various health facilities while 708 are on Home-Based and Isolation Care.
There have been 12 recorded deaths in the last 24 hours, pushing the total fatalities to 2,023.
Number of hospital admissions stand at 1,013 patients countrywide, while 3,003 are on Home-Based and Isolation Care.
