One of the time tested ways students can have an enjoyable school life and achieve desired academic goals is by ensuring that every activity runs on schedule. This only happens when properly planned personal timetables are followed.
Students out to improve the way they manage themselves, their time and their academic programme should run their lives by the clock.
A well thought out timetable is one that includes all the time a student has and what is to be done at a particular period. It should be comprehensive and include even mundane details such as when to brush teeth, eat breakfast and sleep and for how long.
It should incorporate the class timetable so as to avoid clash of activities.

A busy, ambitious student should never leave any day unplanned during the term. This ensures boredom is never an issue.
Have you ever wondered why some students take a long time to get the correct books when a teacher walks in? The reason is these students begin a day not knowing which teachers will be with them and what subjects will be taught. They either lack an inclusive personal timetable or do not care much about the class timetable.
These are the students who, when a teacher fails to turn up for a lesson, easily lapse into noisemaking and pacing up and down, thereby distracting the rest of the class.
Revise it often
The only cure for their behaviour is a timetable to be referred to frequently.
When making a personal timetable, allocate more time to those subjects you perform miserably in. A personal timetable should be made at the beginning of a year, immediately the class timetable comes out. Revise it often to make it more suitable.
Remember, a timetable is a personal guide to see you smoothly through the day. It allows you to plan ahead, arrange necessary items of learning and benefit from an activity.
If you want to have a chaotic, distressing and meaningless school life this year then fail to prepare an inclusive personal timetable.
