Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) sub-branches shall be reconstituted to conform with the new constitution.

The branches will each be allowed to pick one delegate to represent it at Annual General Meeting (AGM) provided the region is a affiliated and subscribed member of the KVF besides being approved by the summit.

This is one of the administrative changes in the new law that was re-written by an eight-man committee under the chairmanship of KVF Central Rift branch secretary Osinde Wamusamia.

The old statutes did not give sub-branches power to attend national meetings.

In what is seen as efforts to spread volleyball, the new document states that any member branch or sub-branch with less than four clubs will cease to exist.

Chapter Three, sub-section 17, Article 4 states: "A branch shall continue to exist if it has a minimum of four active teams/clubs up to date with their affiliation and subscription requirements in accordance with this constitution."

Article 18 states: "A branch which does not meet the requirement in the preceding clause shall be given one year to raise the required minimum number or lose its rights and privileges stated in this constitution until it complies."

The sub-branches will not attend this April 24 AGM that has election as the agenda since it is the same conference that will approve their membership.
